If you're shopping for beeswax, bulk beeswax can be the most cost-effective way to go. Whether you use lots of wax in a short time, or smaller amounts of wax over a long period of time, you'll probably be better off to buy bulk.
That's because beeswax can be stored indefinitely without losing any of the properties that make it such a perfect choice for so many uses.
In fact, samples of beeswax thousands of years old have been recovered from ancient tombs and found to still be perfectly usable. So no need to worry about quickly using any beeswax you buy. (To store your unused beeswax, wrap it in plastic wrap to keep it from absorbing any unwanted odors, and keep it in a cool place.)
And if you've already done some shopping for beeswax, you
know that while it's not outrageously expensive, it's not particularly cheap,
either. So if you're certain that you'll eventually use the wax, it only makes
sense to take advantage of the price breaks that some retailers offer.
