This chocolate pudding recipe could also be called a cocoa pudding recipe, since you can make it with either chocolate or cocoa. And it’s sweetened entirely with honey.
This recipe is from a 1918 cookbook.
What You’ll Need:
2 cups of scalded milk.
1/3 cup of honey.
6 tablespoons of cornstarch.
1/4 teaspoon of salt.
1/4 cup of cocoa or the equivalent quantity of chocolate.
1 teaspoon of vanilla.
Chocolate Pudding Instructions:
Combine all of the ingredients and cook over a double boiler until the pudding thickens sufficiently. You'll probably need to cook the pudding for at least 15 minutes.
Stir in the teaspoon of vanilla after removing from heat.
