Honey Popcorn Ball Recipe

Here’s an old-time popcorn ball recipe that uses honey instead of sugar for this crunchy, sweet treat.

This honey popcorn balls recipe is from a cookbook dated 1916.

It would be interesting to try this recipe with different types of honey, taking advantage of the many different flavors that honey offers. Popcorn balls made with buckwheat honey, for example, would taste quite different from popcorn balls made with clover honey.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup of honey.
  • 1 large bowl of popped popcorn.
  • Waxed paper.

Instructions for Honey Popcorn Balls Recipe:

  1. Boil the honey, stirring constantly, until it forms a soft ball when a drop is placed in cold water.
  2. Drizzle the honey over the popcorn.
  3. Mix the popcorn and honey thoroughly, form into balls, and place on waxed paper.
  4. Couldn’t be simpler!
